War of the Counties

Get down on bended knee and pledge allegiance to the County of your choice.

Played by 18 countries across Wales and England, 1st Class county cricket provides year round entertainment for cricket fans up and down the country.

Beginning back in the 18th century, the first known inter-county smackdown took place in 1709, before a full-fledged County Championship came to being in 1890.

Inter-county cricket was all the rage in the 1700s. Popular teams like Hampshire, Kent, Middlesex, Surrey and Sussex reigned supreme, and often went up against various All-England teams.

Luckily, our thirst for the sport never waned and county cricket continues to this very day.

Which county do you call home? Show your support with one of our many, many County t-shirts, which can be found here!

Can you survive the Game of Throws?

This cracking new design lampoons incredibly popular fantasy book and television series Game of Thrones (or A Song of Ice and Fire for all us bookish types). Taking place in the fictional world of Westeros, Game of Thrones focuses on a kingdom besieged by warring clans all eager to win a place on the Iron Throne.

The series -brainchild of revered fantasy and science fiction author George R. R. Martin- has become a worldwide phenomenon since it debuted on cable network HBO, and made stars out of actors like Peter Dinklage (The Station Agent, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Richard Madden (Sirens, Klondike).

This Game of Thrones-inspired design brings the gentlemen’s game to the decidedly un-gentlemanly world of Westeros. So, join us for a spot of cricket at the King’s Landing CC as we embark on a Game of Throws – winners gets to keep their heads!

David Gower Invites You on a Sightseeing Tour of Australia

Booking now, starting at just £14.99!
Bit of back story for this one: During an Ashes Tour of Australia in 1991, British cricketing legends Dave Gower and John Morris, batted out and driven mad with boredom, decided to fly two Tiger Moth planes over the pitch during a game to spice things up!
Unfortunately, the notoriously straight-laced England management didn't see the funny side and Gower's Test career was curtailed shortly afterwards. Like Icarus before him, it seems poor old Dave flew a little too close to the sun!
OK, it was a sad event but, as we're sure you all agree, it makes for a cool, funny tee!
